Strategy

The team at Vanguard Energy plan to create shareholder value through high quality oil and gas field operations with particular emphasis on cost effective construction and production operations and the use of technology.  The efficient deployment of capital during the high capital intensive development and early operations phase is a primary strategic target.  The team will also differentiate itself through the development of technically challenging and stranded resources.

Vanguard Energy will draw on long term relationships to complement the skills of the management team in the form of alliances and partnership arrangements that can deliver mutual value.  Vanguard will work with VE Resources to optimize project delivery.

Initial assets will be selected within NW Europe or North Africa in order to provide the shareholders of Vanguard with a strong operating and revenue base and to ensure that the Company has a proven track record of operational competence.

Subsequent portfolio development will continue within the original focus countries, but may over time be enlarged to a wider geographic area in order to take advantage of higher risk and reward characteristics available in those petroleum systems and fiscal regimes.
