Strategy

Vanguard Energy’s strategy is to create shareholder value through exemplary operations within its assets, with particular emphasis on the most value creating measures drawn from cost efficiency, technology and exploration.  Vanguard will seek to create and maintain long term relationships that complement its own core competencies so as to provide an enduring framework for alliances and mutual value creation.

Initial assets will be selected within Zone I – Europe and North Africa – in order to provide the shareholders of Vanguard with a strong operating and revenue base and to ensure that the Company has a proven track record of operational competence.

Subsequent portfolio development will continue within Zone I, but will be enlarged to Zone II in order to take advantage of a higher risk-reward available in the wider range of petroleum systems and fiscal regimes contained in the enlarged geography.
